Hello :) My name is Otoniel or "Toni" Calderon. I am a 43 year old Texas born Latino/x of Mexican descent. I am gay and use he/they pronouns. I am bilingual in English & Spanish. As a survivor of years long childhood abuse, I am passionate about helping others in their own journeys toward healing from trauma. I strive to keep learning new modalities and techniques for my own growth as well as to help clients heal.
I operate from a person-centered foundation and utilize various techniques and modalities such as CBT, EMDR, Hypnosis, Somatic Experience, and psychoeducation. I have worked in elementary, middle, and high school settings providing case management and therapy to students/clients. I have also worked with people who were frequently hospitalized for psychiatric reasons as an ACT therapist. I have also worked as a Wraparound Care Coordinator.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master's Degree in Counseling in 2013. I have been trained in EMDR, Hypnosis, Narrative Therapy, and most recently Somatic Experiencing (Beginner Level Module 1).
