Learning about the impact of trauma on individuals and the community was my main drive to seek out being a therapist. One of my biggest passions is to support people suffering from eating disorders or their relationships with their bodies in general. I believe that a person's relationship with themself is sacred, and informs all of our relationships. Once I started learning about societal impact and the history of oppression on how it affects these relationships, I was committed to helping and teaching others as well.

Because of these main passions, primary modality is feminist therapy. This means my clients and I will mostly explore their relationship with things like power, identities and narratives, and the importance of community in fostering a thriving environment. I also often utilize CPT and IFS as trauma modalities. And for skills work I am trained in ACT and DBT.

I received my master's degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Post schooling, I attribute most of my training to working in the residential level of care for adults with eating disorders. In 2021 I trained with a trauma-informed yoga instructor on somatic treatments for trauma, and for 2 years I trained alongside dietitians to learn about the impact of trauma and mental health on eating and nutrition with Monte Nido & associates.
