Hello everyone! My name is Mia and I am happy that you are here! I believe therapy is a space where you should be able to show up exactly as you are without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out. My goal is to create a genuine, supportive, and collaborative environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. My passions are helping the people around me get from one mindset to a mindset that is healthier and happier. Outside of therapy I am a creative, an athlete, a musician, gamer and a Lego enthusiast.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, down-to-earth, and individualized. I believe that every person is different so every session is tailored to the individual. There is no one size fits all. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, TF-CBT, Play therapy, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, and other therapeutic techniques. I value authenticity and connection and believe that meaningful therapeutic work can include difficult conversations, reflection, growth, play, humor, and celebrating all progress.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My professional experience spans nearly a decade and includes outpatient mental health, substance use treatment, crisis stabilization, intensive in-home services, group work, family work, work with children and adolescents, and clinical leadership and supervision.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, behavioral challenges, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, and significant life transitions. My clinical approach incorporates evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Collaborative Problem Solving, safety planning, and play-based interventions. I have also received specialized training in areas including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), play therapy, ACT, Nurturing Parenting, and ASAM criteria.

In addition to my direct clinical work, I have experience in clinical leadership and supervision, supporting other mental health professionals in strengthening their clinical skills, maintaining high standards of care, and developing confidence in their professional identities.

One of my greatest professional accomplishments has been the opportunity to grow from a direct-care clinician into a clinical leader. I have also been given multiple opportunities to speak on the news on mental health topics, present at community events regarding mental health, and serve underprivileged individuals by building lasting programs. I value continued learning and professional growth and strive to bring a combination of clinical knowledge, compassion, authenticity, advocacy, and leadership to every role I hold.
