It is so easy to get overwhelmed and feel lost in our fast-paced world. People often begin feeling unseen, unheard, incapable - they forget their natural resiliency and amazing strengths.  My passion is to connect with my clients and learn their stories, their struggles, but most importantly, help them identify and connect with their inner strength. I enjoy sharing new skills that can help them build confidence, using evidence based therapy to process through what has been holding them back, and supporting their journey of discovery, awareness and growth.

I utilize multiple evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based therapies.  Cultivating a sense of awareness, truly connecting with yourself and your world, and being present are foundational in navigating through life effectively.   Skills training in mindfulness, emotional regulation and managing thoughts empowers clients with confidence that they can manage their lives more effectively and provides them with life-long, sustainable tools. Every person is unique and my approaches are adapted to each person so they can effectively work toward their goals.  I have experiencing working with a variety of complex issues, including mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, trauma related concerns, self-harm and suicide risk, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, ADHD and grief.

My educational background includes a MSE in Counseling from Quincy University in Illinois and I have over 20 years in the mental health field. I am a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have served as a Missouri Department of Mental Health Access Crisis Intervention Coordinator and Community Mental Health Liaison and received certification as a Grief Educator, training with international grief expert, David Kessler.
