Having a lived experience with a diagnosis at a young age it became my mission to address mental health stigma (with self and societal beliefs). In practice I assist individuals to embrace their authentic selves by learning to work with versus judge themselves because of their mental health symptoms and emotional pain.  My goal is to be a partner in facilitating and bearing witness to the individual’s journey and process of connecting with their authentic selves. I work with individuals 14to adults.

Every individual is unique in their own path and journey; therefore, I have been trained in a range of modalities so that I can support in the way the individual can utilize and absorb tools and skills. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered Care, Compassion Focused Therapy and EMDR. Currently I am working towards my Somatic Attachment Focused EMDR (SAFE) certification.

My educational background includes a BA in Sociology (with an emphasis on social work practice) from Washington State University and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. My training has come from working for the State of Washington Department of Human Services; working for a WRAP-around program for at risk youth and various Non-Profit Outpatient Community Mental Health settings in San Jose California; Good Samaritan Hospital Outpatient Program as behavioral mental health and addiction counselor; and before coming to Brightways worked for Deschutes County Department of Human Services.
