what to expect
Once you have made contact with us we will send out an intake packet that can be completed online without printing anything.
When you arrive to your counseling appointment the documents will already be signed and you can spend more time on therapy. We see everyone weekly until graduation.
A concentrated amount of therapy in a short amount of time is more effective than doing a little therapy over a long time. We save the same time slot each week for each person.
insurance
We accept: OHP, Pacific Source, Medicare*, Sliding Scale
Brightways Counseling Group is an established provider for OHP and PacificSource.
Most other insurance providers cover our services, but we currently aren’t set up for direct payment with them. We will provide a you with a receipt or super-bill that you would submit to your insurance company for reimbursement directly from them.
With private insurance carriers in most cases you will find that you are responsible for 50% of the cost of your counseling sessions after your deductible is met.
We also have a program for those who have Medicare as well as a sliding scale for those who are unable to pay. We accept VISA, MC, Discover and American Express cards which we will place on file to charge after each session.
We offer a complimentary 15 minute initial telephone consultation to discuss your concerns and determine if Brightways Counseling Group can assist you in achieving your goals. Call 541.904.5216 to schedule an appointment.*
Available through a referral from a partnered primary care organization
frequently asked questions
Will you give me advise or tell me what to do?
A good therapist doesn’t give advice or tell you what to do. Our popular media often projects some of the worst examples of therapy. Our therapists don’t give advice or tell you what to do in your life. Therapy is a safe place to share your thoughts, concerns, and ideas where you’re free from being judged or told what to do. Therapists use their training and experience to help you discover, restore and empower yourself.
How do I find a good therapist?
Finding a good therapist is not always easy. No one therapist is a match for every client. You need to find a therapist who makes you feel at ease and free to share whatever is on your mind. Checking your therapist’s background (schooling, licensure, supervision, and so on) can help ensure you find a therapist who is a good fit for you.
How often should I come to therapy?
We recommend weekly appointments, especially towards the beginning of therapy. It is more effective to do a lot of therapy in a shorter amount of time than to do a little therapy over a longer period of time.
How long will it take before I feel better?
Therapy is a science, but it’s not an exact science. No timetable exists to predict how quickly you will see results. However, talking about your concerns is the fastest and most effective way to address them. Periodically, we will review your progress in therapy and determine any remaining challenges standing between you and your goals.
