Hello I am Lindsay and I am so excited to be here and to get to know you!  I have been passionate about mental health since I was in high school (which was a long time ago).   I have always enjoyed working with children and families and also have a passion for treating those with substance use disorders.  My personal experiences with those close to me gives me a unique perspective into struggles with addictions and treatment resistant depression. I have an integrative and holistic approach and believe in meeting everyone where they are at in life.  I love learning and my goal is to continue to pursue the most current research especially as it relates to the treatment of the whole person.

My approach is warm and personable.  When we meet it will be like we are having a friendly chat! I enjoy getting to know my clients and remembering details which make each person unique. I love to share my knowledge and provide education ensuring my clients have all the information to make a collaborative decision on the course of treatment.  I do not limit myself to an age range and currently see people from the ages of 4 to 83 years old.  I believe that medications are a tool to be used in conjunction with therapy and healthy lifestyle.  I am willing to meet with anyone but believe my current strengths are treating those with major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and addictions.  Ultimately, I am here to help ensure the best quality of life for those who struggle with mental health!

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and began this career path 3 years ago.  I worked two years for the local community mental health center providing inpatient medication management, medication management for children, and medication assisted treatment. The past year I have spent establishing my own private practice in eastern Oregon.  Additionally, I have been a nurse for 15 years!   I spent the majority of my nursing career in pediatrics, post partem, and labor and delivery.  However, two years of my career was spent at a dual diagnosis recovery center, and working with this population is what inspired me to pursue an advanced degree!

My career path took a roundabout way where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in social work in 1999 from Northwest Nazarene University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2011 from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.   I earned a Master of Science in Nursing in 2023 from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.  At Gonzaga University I received specialized training in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, diagnosis, and psychotherapy for all ages.  I am currently enrolled in two courses at the Integrative Psychiatric Institute based out of Boulder, Colorado.  I maintain a national board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and stay up to date with best practice through ongoing education.
