Hi I’m Karenna and I’m so glad you are here! I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about creating a warm, supportive space where patients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe mental health care works best when people feel heard, understood, and involved in their treatment. My goal is to build genuine connections with each patient and work together to develop a plan that supports their unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. I strive to help patients not only feel better, but function better in their daily lives, relationships, and work. I am committed to providing collaborative, respectful care and supporting each person on their journey toward improved mental wellness and overall quality of life.

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, and patient-centered. I prioritize creating a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and actively participating in treatment decisions. I focus on thoughtful, evidence-based medication management while considering each individual’s unique needs, preferences, and goals. I also value education and open communication, helping patients feel informed and confident in their care.

My skillset includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing assessment of treatment effectiveness and safety. I have experience treating a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders. I emphasize building strong therapeutic relationships, monitoring progress closely, and collaborating with families and other providers when appropriate. My expertise lies in delivering individualized, compassionate care that supports symptom improvement, functional recovery, and long-term mental wellness.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care. I have been a nurse for 8 years, and recently began my journey as a PMHNP, which has already been incredibly fulfilling. My nursing background has provided me with a strong clinical foundation, compassion for patients, and the ability to approach care with both empathy and clinical insight.

I earned my Master’s degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN where I received specialized training in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management across the lifespan. I maintain national board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and continue to stay current with best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
