It has been my lifelong goal to provide compassionate assistance to others which motivated me to enter the mental health service arena.  For the past thirty years, I have worked with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with varying life goals, joining with them in the spirit of learning and effecting positive life changes.

With the goal of becoming a professional counselor, I received my Bachelor of Psychology degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and my M.Ed. with emphasis in Counseling from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington (Go Cougs!). I was first licensed as an LPC in Idaho and have since been licensed in four different states.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked in Community Counseling settings and in Private Practice.  I have extensive experience collaborating with County agencies and in coordinating care with other community providers.  It is my hope to bring that experience to Madras in a manner that will enrich lives and promote individual and community growth.

As a trauma informed therapist, I have worked with children and adults, providing a wide range of treatment options and modalities to include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Object Relations, and Motivational Interviewing.  I can incorporate techniques including play therapy, grounding exercises, meditation and EMDR.  I also have experience working with the Veteran population and their families related to the military lifestyle.

When I am not at my office, I can be found in the outdoors interacting with friends and pets or in my garden.  I enjoy long walks, fishing and exploring new places.  I also enjoy multiple creative outlets including knitting and crocheting.  I look forward to learning about all the special places that the Madras area has to offer!
