I approach therapy with an openness to each individual's life experience. Through deep listening and a strong, trusting clinical relationship, I adapt my practice to best support your healing and growth. With my help, you can gain insight into the challenges you face, cultivate a sense of purpose and meaning, practice the skills necessary to thrive, and grow in resilience, all in a supportive and validating environment.
As your therapist, I take the time to really get to know you and understand what you're struggling with before working with you to tailor a treatment strategy based on your specific needs. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, insomnia, chronic health conditions, grief, spirituality issues, and life transitions. Clients typically describe my approach as direct yet supportive. My practice relies on an extensive toolkit of evidence-based clinical modalities that allow me to implement the best treatment possible for your specific situation. I am trained in and regularly use modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Short Term Solution Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation, and more. My practice is LGBTQIA+ friendly and culturally informed/sensitive.
I studied at Whitman College (BA in Psychology with honors) and the University of Chicago (Masters in Social Work). Since 2014, I have supported clients' mental and behavioral health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, camping, cross-country skiing, and spending time with my family.
