I am a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience with providing comprehensive healthcare services. This experience allows me to have a holistic perspective of each individual enhancing my skills in diagnosing and managing various conditions while emphasizing on preventative care and client education. I am committed to providing a supportive environment for clients to ensure that each individual receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs. While working in various medical environments, I noticed several individuals with mental health needs that did not have access to mental healthcare and for this reason, I decided to pursue a certification to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my clients through providing compassionate care and the empowering them to engage in their treatment for the best outcome.
My approach to care is rooted in the belief that true wellness encompasses mind and body. It is important to initiate collaborative care to ensure all needs are identified and treated. I am particularly skilled in medication management and ensuring my clients receive a balanced and effective approach to their mental health. My psychiatric experience includes inpatient crisis stabilization, partial hospitalization and residency programs for eating disorders and outpatient services caring for individuals seeking mental healthcare.
I am a dual certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have a master's degree in nursing with a concentration in family nurse practitioner from Troy University, a doctorate degree in Nursing Practice and a post graduate certificate in psychiatric mental health, both from Wilkes University.
