I am a counselor, helper and an advocate to a wide variety of clients with varied challenges. I strive to provide empathy, respect and humility to all of my clients, realizing that they are the in charge of their care and are the experts of themselves. I also strive to remain mindful of the systemic problems we all experience in this environment and am open to learning in areas that I am unaware. I am a part of the LGBTQ + community and work with many others within this community. My goal is to provide support to people during times that they need it the most.
I strive to provide support through a neurodivergent, trauma, anti racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic and trans phobic lens. I am well versed in many different therapy modalities including CBT, DBT, ERP, relational art and play therapy, dance movement and Somatic Experiencing and nervous system regulation. I have 20+ years in community mental health working with children and families who are navigating systems that are fundamentally flawed- looking for solutions. I have formal training in differential diagnosis, especially with psychosis symptoms and SPMI, as well as experience working with many clients in various disenfranchised social groups.
I hold a MA in Counseling, an LPC through the state of Oregon and a SEP through The Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. I have worked in Community Mental Health, residential and private practice settings.
