Gracie Weidemaier

LPC(She/They)

I’ve found that clients that have a genuine connection with their therapist can explore their deeper feelings, values, and relationships through acceptance and authenticity. My goal as a therapist is to help clients understand themselves and their strengths while offering a nonjudgmental and supportive space. I show up as myself to sessions and I hope that encourages my clients to as well. I believe that feedback is central to growth and I seek consultation to ensure competency, understanding, and continued education. I have experience working with teens and adults of all ages as they navigate various life changes, anxiety, relationship concerns, depression, and their own personal identities.

Mywork centers around understanding yourself, learning how the systems you livein affect you, and becoming more secure in your ability to handle what lifethrows your way. Much of my approach to therapy is focused on person-centered,emotion-focused, strength-based, and trauma-informed care. I employ a socialjustice, feminist, intersectional, queer affirming, and systemic framework. I’mcurious about your lived experiences and engagement with the life that affectsyour physical, economic, political, spiritual, and emotional health. We’lloften discuss where core values come from and look at how they appear in our day-to-daylives. I have a passion for people going through life transitions, thoseunderstanding neurodivergence, and recovering people pleasers.

I have a BS in Health Science Studies from Boise State University with minors in Psychology and Music. I earned my Master of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in a program that emphasized social justice, advocacy, diversity, and inclusion. I have seen clients in various settings: community mental health centers, domestic violence shelters, public schools, and group therapy practices.  I currently meet the standards to be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the Oregon State Board.
