It is an honor and privilege for me to do the work that I do-assisting clients in their healing process and helping to provide relief and freedom in order for them to become the best versions of themselves.  This often includes gaining relief from thought patterns and behaviors that may be unhelpful and have kept them stuck, and freedom for parts of themselves that have been carrying the weight of pain and trauma.  My background in addictions counseling led me into trauma treatment, and my focus is on treating the person to achieve healing-while also providing support for symptom relief and management.

I use a variety of approaches, which consist primarily of a combination of Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. For trauma treatment I primarily use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and Internal Family Systems Therapy.

I trained at Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies in 2012 and 2013, and did my EMDR Training in 2016and 2017.  I received licensure as a professional counselor in 2017, and have been a certified alcohol and drug counselor since 2013.  I am in the process of gaining certification for Gestalt Therapy, and I embrace a growth mindset of continually working on improving myself and increasing my skill set both personally and professionally.
