I've found that the value of connection has often guided my most important personal and professional decisions; including the decision to become a therapist. I have a passion for helping others empower themselves and find personal meaning. The privilege of trust proffered by those we help is a special thing. I'd like to continue expanding my toolset and exposing myself to new perspectives to best serve whoever walks through the door.
Working with a person-centered approach and trauma-focused lens, I utilize a host of therapeutic tools based on the needs of the individual. I have experience with DBT, CBT, ACT, MI, and EMDR among others. Much of my experience is working with trauma spanning individual, general family, and substance use populations.
After completing a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Idaho State University, I received licensure in the states of Oregon and Idaho. I feel much of my accomplishments lie in my work with vulnerable and special populations. Completing EMDR and White Bison Recovery programs, for instance, have broadened my available toolset to do so. I've had the privilege of working with developmental disability, substance, and general populations of all ages.
