I believe in the power of change and holding space for an individual to process through unpleasant thoughts and experiences to cultivate their ability to heal. I have many years of experience working with a variety of people across the life span, with a variety of health conditions and different abilities. I love celebrating people’s resiliency and connecting one to their mind and body.
My approach is strength based, client centered, and collaborative in nature. I utilize evidenced- based therapy modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, Mindfulness practices, Solution Focused Therapy, and Somatic Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to cultivate healing, change and growth.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Humboldt State University (2006), where I was trained in strengths-based, culturally competent, and person-centered care. I have a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Humboldt State University.
