With nearly a decade of experience in healthcare, I’ve come to believe that healing, though not always linear, is always possible. I’ve seen time and again how mental health is just as essential as physical health, and how one simply cannot thrive without the other. That belief was what led me back to school to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner who would be able to care for my patients more holistically. Mind and body, heart and history, cultures, diet, backgrounds, self-care, medications... all of it matters. I want to be the kind of provider who sees the whole person, not just what’s written in the chart. And during each visit, my hope is to create a safe space where my patients can show up exactly as they are and feel seen and genuinely supported throughout their mental health journey.
I typically work with the adult population (18 and above) and specialize in evaluation and medication management for psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and sleep challenges. As someone who grew up in an immigrant family, I also have a special place in my heart for immigrants, international students, and anyone navigating life between cultures. I get it. I’ve lived it. That experience helps me offer care that is culturally attuned, grounded in understanding, and meets people where they are. I genuinely believe in a holistic approach to mental well-being that values both medication management and therapeutic support, as well as lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, and self-care practices. I also believe in the power of patient education. My goal is to help my patients better understand what they’re experiencing, feel more confident in their treatment plan, and stay actively involved in their healing. More than anything, I hope to walk alongside each patient at their own pace, creating a space where they feel safe, seen, and empowered.
I hold two Master of Science in Nursing degrees, one in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University, and another in Family Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University. I also had the privilege of receiving additional psychiatric training under Dr. Errol Segall, MD, a highly respected psychiatrist and former clinical faculty at Georgetown University School of Medicine, with over 40 years of experience. I’m currently board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
